Norwood Basketball Association (NBA) Travel program will hold its tryouts from 9/24-10/3.  Please register online at www.norwoodbasketball.com by 9/21 if you are interested in participating in travel basketball.  Travel teams are held for grades 4-8 and compete in the MetroWest league.  The fee for travel is $250 per player with a family maximum of $500.  Tryouts are free to register and payment is collected once a player is selected to a team.  The regular season consists of 12 games.  Teams will begin practicing in the beginning of November with two practices a week.  Games are played mostly on Sundays with some late Saturday afternoon games possible.  

NBA In-town program deadline is 12/1.  The purpose of the NBA In-Town program is to create an enjoyable youth basketball program that is open to every Norwood child, in grades K-6, regardless of skill level. It is the intent of the NBA to conduct this program as an instructional and recreational basketball league. At its core, it is designed as a participatory basketball league. All players are expected to play in games and participate in practice in an equal manner. Playing time is never to be allocated or extended to a player because of his or her ability to play or lack of ability.  More information can be found on our website under the "In-Town" Tab.
