Wayne Clement Scholarship applications now available
Each year, the Norwood Basketball Association (NBA) awards a scholarship(s) in the
memory of Wayne Clement. The scholarship is awarded to former NBA participants who
have demonstrated academic achievement, civic involvement and good sportsmanship during
his/her participation in the NBA and continuing throughout his/her secondary education. The
award is open to any Norwood high school senior, whether in public or private school, who
intends to continue his/her education at an accredited college, university or postgraduate
school. Any interested student must complete this application and attach letters of interest
(resume, essay detailing importance of basketball, high school transcript, letters of reference,
etc.) for consideration no later than May 16, 2012. The NBA Scholarship Committee will
evaluate all completed applications and announce the recipient(s) in May 2012. Please

NBA teams wrap up Travel Season with two titles
Two teams from the Norwood Basketball Association took home titles in the Metrowest Tournament, the culmination of the travel season.
The sixth grade girls Blue team beat North Quincy by 5 to win the Division 2 title.
And the seventh grade girls team beat Norton by 3 to with the ultra-competitve Division 1 title, that group's second in four years.
Congratulations to those girls, and all of the NBA travel teams who competed so well all season.
